Dental specialists complete two to six extra years of training after dental school and usually work on referral from a general dentist, although most accept patients who call directly. Orthodontists straighten teeth with braces and clear aligners; endodontists handle root canals; periodontists treat gum disease and place implants; oral and maxillofacial surgeons extract wisdom teeth, place implants and do jaw surgery, often under IV sedation; prosthodontists rebuild smiles with crowns, bridges and dentures; denture centers focus on full and partial dentures, relines and repairs. Sedation and hospital dentists serve anxious patients and people with special needs, while TMJ and sleep-apnea dentists make oral appliances for jaw pain and snoring.
Hours are published for 5 days a week. The most common schedule is 8 amβ5 pm. It is closed on Saturday, Sunday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (972) 712-5035. Frisco is in Texas, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. Getting around Frisco is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Texas's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

I would urge anyone considering treatment at this office to proceed with caution. The office itself is clean, the staff is friendly, and the doctor was pleasant during my visit. However, I was very concerned by the treatment plan and the associated charges I was given. I was prepared to move forward with the recommended extractions and pay for the treatment, but I decided to seek a second opinion first. After having my treatment plan reviewed by another dental provider, I was told that some of the proposed charges appeared to be higher than expected and that certain billing items were not appropriate based on my situation. That experience significantly reduced my confidence in the original treatment plan. As a patient without a dental background, it's easy to assume the recommendations and fees you're given are accurate. Based on my experience, I strongly recommend getting a second opinion before committing to treatment or making payment. I cannot speak to the quality of the surgical procedures themselves since I did not move forward with treatment. My concern is with the treatment plan and billing practices I encountered. Patients deserve clear, accurate, and transparent recomm

My daughter had 2 wisdom teeth removed and several teeth exposed last week. We were very impressed with the office and everyone we came in contact with. Surgery day was very easy and we are so glad recovery was easy, she didnβt complain once. We are grateful for Dr. Ornstein and her staff.

I would 100% recommend Dr. Ornstein! She is absolutely the best!! I broke my tooth, which required an extraction and then a post implanted. Sounds scary to have surgery, yes, but everyone in the office, from Dr Ornstein, her assistants, all the front desk people, made something scary, not a bad experience at all. Everyone is so kind and so sweet there and really cares about you as a patient and making sure you know whatβs going on and making you as comfortable as possible. My dentist referred me to her as he said he has sent his own kids there, and he highly recommended Dr Ornstein, and after being a patient there now, I wouldnβt hesitate to recommend her to everyone as well! Thank you Dr. Ornstein and everyone there. 5 star office all the way!!
